How To Paint Copper Magnet Wire?

  • Enameled copper magnet wire are copper wires coated with a very thin insulating layer. It is used in applications such as winding motor coils, speakers and transformers. It is also used in the construction of electromagnets and inductors.

The core material is copper, and is coated with a thin layer of polyurethane, polyamide, polyester and other resins, the so-called "enamel".

In order to make it easier to manufacture inductive components, such as transformers and inductors, most new enameled wires have enameled wires. When burning during welding, the enameled wires will act as a flux. This means that the electrical connection of the ends can be made without peeling the insulating layer. This is usually not the case with older Copper Clad Aluminum Wire , which require sanding or scraping off the insulation before welding.
